PACKAGING LINES

As far as concerns profiles packaging systems, SAT S.p.A. can offer many, different and technically advanced solutions. Basically we can propose either systems where the whole process is mainly run and controlled by the operators and plants with a higher standard of automation. These last ones, specifically thought for the most demanding markets, as they need a reduced number of workers, cut down the running costs and ensure a low level of incidence on working time by the operator with a consequent opportunity to improve the logistic efficiency as far as regards the final product flow.


MAIN MACHINES


1) PAPER DISPENSER
The operator can preset the quantity and the length of the sheet necessary for being interposed between the profiles during the sub-bundle formation. The paper stretcher is predisposed for stretching sheets' layers on an adequate platform, the sheets are cut out from spools of plastic material or paper, according to the requirements of the customer. The spool's replacement device is simple and fast (no difficult operations required).

2) PACKAGE TIGHTENERS
Before entering the packing line, the operators put together some profiles for a sub-bundle formation. After the manual formation of the assembled package of profiles, the same it is laid by a couple of operators on the conveyor belts in correspondence of the package centring devices. After the sub-package centring and locking, the wheels of the packages' tighteners rise up, start to turn around and wrap up the package itself in one / three established points, by means of adequate tapes of extensible nylon. The number of turns that the wheels will make around the package can be set by the operator's panel.

3) WRAPPING MACHINE
The wrapping machine is predisposed for the insertion of two polyethylene cylinders of 300mm. diameter and 120 mm. thickness, held by adequate rolls bearers and a mechanical device that can be adjusted for the stretching of the film that wraps the sub-bundles/profiles. The main shaft is supported by two special ball bearings that allow the realisation of the sub- bundles'/profiles' progress, with an optimum overlapping of the covering film. The wrapping machine is equipped with two motorized groups for the progress of the sub-bundles/profiles with variable speed, and with a cutting and hooking system of the film during the assembling phase of the last sub-bundle/profile.

4) TAPING
The machine has the function to wrap with two bandages of adhesive tape and the head of the corner of two packets in transit after being wrapped by the film. The exact point of interception of the taping is fully automated and the operation takes place in perfect synchronism with the forward speed of the file.

5) LAUNCHER
A system to drive the sub-bundles/profiles out of the main body of the machine. The Launcher separates at a high speed the already wrapped sub-bundles/profiles from the ones to be covered transferring them to the alignment position on the final idler rolls before the evacuation to the unloading sub-bundles/profiles belts or to the automatic bundle maker.

6) SUB-BUNDLE UNLOADING BELTS
The just dropped sub-bundles/profiles can be easily taken by the operators on this table in order to be put on a stacker or to another kind of container. This is possible thanks to some belts moving the packages/profiles from a position close to the idler rolls to a position close to the stacker or other kind of container nearby the operators.

7) AUTOMATIC BUNDLE MAKER
The automatic bundle maker thanks to an integrated system of forks, package moving lifters, motorized rolls allows to obtain layers of packaged profiles with a programmed order and dimension coming from the wrapping machine. The setting of the package's dimension is carried out by means of the operator's panel where the length and the height of every bundle under formation can be defined.

8) CASE WRAPPER
The case wrapping machine, placed at the bundle maker exit, has to wrap the just formed bundle with an extensible plastic film. In this way all the sub-bundles/profiles can be tightly linked among them. During the transition of the bundle through the main body of the machine, it is possible to foresee a wrapping program based on a biggest number of film layers in correspondence with certain points of the package. The case wrapper is equipped with an automatic device for wood spacers insertion (on the upper and the lower part of the bundle) and with an electronic control for the self-centering of the perimeter of rotation depending on the dimensions of the bundle. The machine is predisposed for two extensible film nylon coils, each one with a of diam 250 mm. and a lenght of 250 mm.
